La Mata Fiestas 2026 in Honour of the Virgen del Rosario

The patron saint festivities of La Mata will be held from 12 September to 7 October featuring a pilgrimage, children's activities, the San Fermín bull-run for kids, a paella contest, open-air parties, a multi-coloured parade, religious services, and events for the whole family. Highlights include the pilgrimage to Parque Eduardo Gil Rebollo, the children's San Fermín encierro, the paella competition, the flower offering, the Desfile Multicolor, traditional open-air dances, the solemn Mass, and the procession of the Virgen del Rosario. The Patron Saint Festivities of La Mata in honour of the Virgen del Rosario will take place from 12 September to 7 October 2026 with a programme combining tradition, religious acts, music, gastronomy, children's activities, and community gatherings. Festivities Programme Saturday, 12 September 12:00: "Surriagaso", the official kickoff of the festivities. Brass band, DJ, water fights, and entertainment. Sunday, 13 September 09:30: Departure of the pilgrimage from the parish church. 11:00: Outdoor mass at Parque Eduardo Gil Rebollo. 17:00: Return of the pilgrimage to the parish church. Friday, 18 September 21:00: "Nuestros Jóvenes Mayores" community evening.
