The patron saint festivities of La Mata will take place from 12 September to 7 October, featuring a pilgrimage, children's activities, a mock San Fermín running of the bulls, a paella contest, open-air dances, a multicoloured parade, religious events, and activities for the entire family. Highlights include the pilgrimage to Parque Eduardo Gil Rebollo, the children's running of the bulls, the paella contest, the floral offering, the Multicoloured Parade, popular verbenas, the High Mass, and the procession of the Virgen del Rosario. The 2026 Patron Saint Fiestas of La Mata in honour of the Virgen del Rosario combine tradition, religious events, music, gastronomy, children's activities, and community gatherings. Festival Programme: Saturday, 12 September 12:00: "Surriagaso", kick-off of the festivities. Brass band, DJ, water games, and entertainment. Sunday, 13 September 09:30: Departure of the pilgrimage from the parish church. 11:00: Outdoor mass at Parque Eduardo Gil Rebollo. 17:00: Return of the pilgrimage to the parish church. Friday, 18 September 21:00: Community get-together "Nuestros Jóvenes Mayores".
