A mini scientific mission to uncover the secrets of the lagoons. This free guided interpretive route takes place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 10:00. Places are limited and advance registration is required. The Parque Natural de las Lagunas de La Mata y Torrevieja invites families to enjoy an outing and explore the wetland through the eyes of an explorer. Through orientation and environmental observation, the activity poses a question as striking as the scenery itself: why can the Torrevieja lagoon turn an intense pink? The route introduces participants to the natural history of the lagoons and the conditions that make them a unique ecosystem. Evaporation increases the water's salt concentration; this high salinity, along with the microorganisms living within it, gives the water its characteristic hues.
