Julio Más Hernández introduces the audience to the migration routes of large marine mammals and the importance of the Mediterranean as a natural corridor. The conference will take place on Saturday, 26 September 2026, at 20:00 at the Sociedad Cultural Casino de Torrevieja. The lecture, titled "Torrevieja en la ruta de los gigantes del mar: el corredor de cetáceos del Mediterráneo español", offers insight into the movement of various cetacean species along our coasts and the ecological value of this marine area. Retired researcher from the Instituto Español de Oceanografía and former director of the Centro Oceanográfico de Murcia, Julio Más Hernández, will explain the role of the Mediterranean coastline. The talk is part of the 18th "Torrevieja y el mar" lecture series, organised by the Asociación Cultural Ars Creatio to promote knowledge regarding the sea, scientific research, and natural heritage.
